Our Aspirations to Our Associates

To offer a safe, supportive and healthy environment where people want to work.

Our Wellness Centers provide associates and dependents with onsite primary medical using health care professionals from the community.

Our wellness programs put an emphasis on primary care and prevention.
An Award-Winning Prescription for Associate Health

Perdue is one of only a few businesses in the country to offer associates and their dependents access to low-cost primary care through fully equipped onsite Wellness Centers staffed by health care providers from the local community. Associates can see a doctor during their shifts and get paid for that time. There is a nominal co-pay of $15 for associates enrolled in Perdue’s health insurance plan, and $30 for those who opt out of coverage. Wellness Center services are the same as those that associates and dependents would receive at an outside doctor’s office, including check-ups, exams, and treatment for cold, flu and other common illnesses. Ongoing treatment for chronic issues such as high blood pressure or diabetes; OB/GYN services and pre-natal care; pediatric care and physical therapy are also provided.

In 2014, Perdue opened its newest Wellness Center at its Perdue AgriBusiness complex in Salisbury, Md., a $45,000 investment in the health and wellness of our associates and their eligible family members. The 900-square-foot facility serves more than 350 associates working at the location, including many of our truck drivers.
